Handmade Gift Items
However, there is no scarcity of the kinds and types of Diwali gifts available in the market, but a handmade gift has a unique charm to it. Here's the method of making a decorative item that you can gift. We all know that Lord Ganesha is the sign of auspiciousness. So, let's indulge in Diwali crafts and make a Lord Ganesha idol.
Items Required:
Lord Ganesha clay model
Foil Paper
A pinch of Zinc Oxide powder
5 ml, black ink
Scissors
Glue
Method:
Take small square shaped pieces of foil paper and give it a crushed look with hand. Straighten it and apply glue with the help of a brush. Now fix it onto any one part of the clay model of Lord Ganesha. With the help of your fingers, slowly place the the foil paper in such a way that the curves on the clay get visible through the foil paper. Repeat the same to cover the rest of model. Make sure each and every part of the clay model is properly covered. Keep it overnight to let it dry. Mix a pinch of Zinc Oxide powder in black ink. Paint the mixture on the model you prepared with the help of a brush. After an hour, when the paint has dried a bit, using a wet and squeezed cotton bud, slightly clear the extra paint. What you will get is a beautiful Lord Ganesha idol with a metal finish.
Other than this, you can present them with an exquisite Puja thali again decorated at home. Among other unique gift items, come a holiday package that you can present to your most near and dear one so that they celebrate their Diwali at another beautiful place, where they have always wished to visit.
